Try and think about what makes you unique. Also, think about your favorites (favorite subject in school, TV show, etc) and your likes/dislikes. You can even try asking other people about what they think of you. Knowing your purpose and audience is really important for this. You have fewer restrictions on your subject matter if you are just writing for essay about myself for practice than if you are writing for a college. In general, though, it is a good idea to decide what you want to say about yourself, then think of a sketch you could relate that would show this quality that you want to express.
